I enjoy climbing trees and taking walks.
I am Yuling Huang — a visual artist, researcher, and multidisciplinary writer working at the intersection of collective memory, urban culture, and emerging technology. My practice begins in the field and ends in the hands: from ethnographic research to woodcut printmaking, and participatory workshops.
Over the past decade, I have cultivated a practice that moves between data journalism, socially engaged art, and experimental design. I have worked as a data journalist and contributed to art-activism collectives including 706 Media Lab and Print & Carve Dept. — exploring how artists, technologists, and citizens can co-create new social imaginaries and reclaim agency over urban and digital environments.
Recent projects include City Mandala (New Taipei City Museum of Art, 2025), a commissioned year-long work investigating urban belonging through community base field research and woodcut printmaking; and Entangled Assembly, a transnational printmaking collaboration on global factory labor, exhibited in Taiwan and Mexico. I have also contributed to public discourse on platform cooperativism, blockchain art, and the solidarity economy through essays, translations, and international forums.
I often collaborate with grassroots organizations, researchers, and technologists to create participatory formats — co-design workshops, zines, and interactive installations — imagining equitable futures grounded in both local resistance and transnational solidarity.
